A- to A+: Significantly Above Performance Standards (93% - 100%)
Thorough mastery of fundamentals, skills and concepts
Completes all assigned work, as well as enrichment and independent activities
Masters facts and principles and applies them to new and unfamiliar situations
Assumes an active and alert role in all learning and instructional activities
B- to B+: Above Performance Standards (84% - 92%)
Fully grasps fundamentals, skills and concepts
Completes all assigned work.
Shows ability to retain and apply facts and principles in most situations.
Actively participates in most learning and instructional activities
C- to C+: Meets Performance Standards (75% - 83%)
Partial grasp fundamentals, skills and concepts
Completes most assigned work.
Retains and applies facts and principles in some situations.
Moderate participation in most learning and instructional activities

We do not give letter or percentage grades for preK, kindergarten, and elective classes. Teachers use rubrics with the following descriptors to assess evaluate student performance:
Advanced: student applies the learned skills and concepts to create ideas and express knowledge independently
Mastery: student applies the learned skills and concepts to create ideas and express knowledge independently and with some teacher assistance
Developing: student applies the learned skills and concepts to create ideas and express knowledge with a lot of teacher assistance
Beginner: student applies the learned skills and concepts to create ideas and express knowledge only with teacher assistance
